Action Research

Action research is either research initiated to solve an immediate problem or a reflective process of progressive problem solving led by individuals working with others in teams or as part of a community of practice to improve the way they address issues and solve problems. In the field of education, action research is one of the ways to conduct research. Its aim is to explore topics related to teaching, curriculum development, and student behavior in the classroom, and to improve processes.

Faculty research is a requirement for tenure and promotion. At present, I’m meeting with a university professor to talk about ways to enhance action research in the institution. Faculty members of other universities and colleges who are interested to know more action research may contact me.
